WHAT'S NEW ON THE MERIBEL SLOPES Winter 2024/2025

On the lift side

The future Côte Brune station

The Côte Brune chairlift linking Méribel Mottaret to the Val Thorens and Les Menuires ski areas is getting a facelift and will be in service from December 2025!

Here's some teasing, because if you can't take advantage of this new feature this winter, 50% of the work was carried out this summer. To whet your appetite: no more slow 4-seater chairlifts in a permanent draught. The only chairlift where 4 people are happy to keep each other warm on the way up will be replaced by a 10-seater gondola with panoramic cabins and every comfort... You'll have no more reason not to discover the sublime Lac Bleu run, or to head to Val Thorens to discover the 3 Valleys!

Just be patient this winter, and enjoy this vintage chairlift and the conviviality of the old Côte Brune chairlift.

The Mottaret carpet is modernized for greater comfort

The Doron carpet, located in Méribel-Mottaret center, is ideal for beginners: it gives access to an enclosed area, protected from the flow of skiers. This winter, the conveyor is equipped with a covered gallery, ensuring a comfortable ascent, sheltered from any capricious weather. No more excuses for not starting out in the snow, since not only will you be protected during the ascent, but the snow on the slope will be that much softer!

New on the slopes

Rossignol's slope : carving party

What better way to let your skis fly than on a blue run? Little used, wide, with a gentle slope and gentle jumps that give you a bit of speed: embark on the newly named Rossignol piste for exhilarating gliding sensations ... But where is this nugget located? Between the Open Park Snowpark and the La Sitelle piste, accessible via the Plattières gondola, the Plan des mains chairlift or the Chatelets chairlift. All you have to do is find the entrance to this hidden slope, which is absolutely worth the detour.

A new ski touring route

The Pic Bleu itinerary starts from the Méribel Village snow front and covers 5.5 km and 600 m of D+. As you ascend, you'll find yourself in different moods, first on the golf course, then in the forest, with panoramic views over the Vallée des Allues and the Méribel ski area.

The route comprises three sections:

  • The lower part (3 km and 300m D+) leads to the blue Lapin trail at the Altiport.
  • The 2nd “intermediate” section (1 km and 100 m D+) winds through the forest to the start of the Loze TSD and leads onto the green Blanchot trail.
  • The 3rd “high” section climbs to the Pic Bleu chalet (1.5 km and 200 m D+) and leads to the eponymous blue trail.

Terraces and places of contemplation

Instagrammable heart at Mont Vallon

A photo spot with a wild view of a glacier? You'll have to go to the summit of Mont Vallon! Accessible to skiers and pedestrians alike, this new spot, with its wooden core and unobstructed view of the Borgne glacier, will undoubtedly become a must for capturing your vacation in Méribel and the 3 Valleys. All about Mont Vallon, Méribel's highest peak, with its breathtaking view of the largest glacier in the 3 Valleys.

A rooftop at the summit of Roc de Fer

At the top of the off-center Olympic Express chairlift, you'll arrive at one of the 3 Vallées' finest panoramas. In addition to offering a unique perspective on the surrounding peaks, this area will be set out in three spaces, with a suspended swing, an Instagrammable heart and a terrace dedicated to observing the summits. Finally, an area for resting, picnicking or simply contemplating, equipped with tables and hammocks, lets you enjoy the sun until late afternoon.
