The must-see viewpoints of Méribel, at the heart of the 3 Vallées

Méribel’s most beautiful peaks

Discover (or rediscover) the iconic panoramas of Méribel and the 3 Vallées, on skis or on foot. There’s plenty to see and do at the summits, from enjoying stunning views to magical photo spots. Here are our tips to make the most of everything these summits have to offer!

Mont Vallon summit: majestic glacier

Head up to Mont Vallon to enjoy a magical high altitude experience, at almost 3,000 metres! Here, the atmosphere of the high mountains envelops you, the majestic Gébroulaz glacier at your feet and unbeatable views of the Tueda national reserve. Take time to admire the seracs and crevasses while listening to the songs of the orange-billed jackdaws: a spectacle of nature to awaken your senses!

Find the instagrammable heart at the top of the cable car, a perfect spot to pause and capture some great shots. And the best part? To get to Mont Vallon, all you have to do is take the gondola lift of the same name, which is open to skiers and pedestrians alike. Once at the summit, experienced skiers have a choice of two superb red runs back down to the valley.

La Saulire: A must-see viewpoint

A bucket list moment for all skiers in Meribel! You'll be able to spot the majestic Grande Casse, the highest peak in the Savoie (3855 m), as well as the Vanoise glaciers and many other wonders. If a sea of clouds (an ‘inversion’) appears, you'll be in for a genuinely breathtaking show.

Bonus: the Saulire cable car is getting a makeover. You'll be able to enjoy a unique experience with its panoramic cabins with improved comfort. And don't forget, you can also get there via the Pas du Lac gondola from Méribel Mottaret or the Saulire Express from Méribel La Chaudanne. Experience this iconic Three Valleys summit on skis or on foot!

Mont Vallon Méribel
Col de la Loze Méribel

Col de la Loze: A sporting paradise

Explore this little corner of paradise so popular with sports fans. Whether you're a skier, paraglider or cyclist, you will find uninterrupted 360-degree views of the 3 Vallées, the resorts of Courchevel and Méribel at your feet, not forgetting the beautiful Vanoise massif.

Admire the magnificent peaks of the Grande Casse, Mont Blanc and the Aiguilles d'Arves rising proudly on the horizon. Head towards Courchevel and you’ll come to the Nid de la Loze: one of our quirky triangular huts, perfect for a picnic or some great photos.

Our top tip: take a trip up to this Col towards the end of the day, just before the slopes close. The sunset is truly enchanting! You can get there easily via the Dou des Lanches or Loze chairlifts.

Roc de Fer: Into the wilderness

Yet another fabulous view, as the Encombres valley stretches out before you! One ridge follows another, creating an impressive landscape that sweeps all the way to the Southern Alps, visible on clear days.

This is the kind of place where you'll want to stop, take a deep breath and enjoy every moment. Whether you've come for a pause between runs, or with the aim of capturing these magnificent landscapes on camera, you won't be disappointed. It's a little slice of paradise you can discover via the Olympic chairlift.
