What to do in Meribel without skiing?

The highest peak in Meribel

Peak Experience - Mont Vallon

At an altitude of nearly 3000m, discover the largest glacier in the 3 Valleys before your eyes...

The summit of Mont-Vallon is the highest point of the valley of Méribel, this mountain with a pyramid shape, enthroned at the bottom of the valley. Emblematic summit of the 3 Valleys and therefore unmissable during your stay, allowing you to observe a glacier zone, crevasses, seracs and all the mountain environment that goes with it, it is accessible to pedestrians without effort. From Méribel-Mottaret, take the Plattières gondola for a comfortable ascent before going back down with the Plans des Mains chairlift and then join the Mont-Vallon gondola which will allow you to reach the summit without effort.

Access: Plattières gondola, Plan des Mains chairlift then Mont Vallon gondola.

Sun & Farniente

The Col de la Loze

On this plateau protected from the wind and ideal when the weather is good, take the time to observe the 360° panorama. Did you know: it is difficult to imagine cyclists on this summit, and yet, the Col de La Loze hosted the arrival of a stage of the Tour de France !

What can I do in Col de la Loze?

  • The ball of the paragliders: sails of all colors take off from the Col de la Loze and in March and April, paragliders fly over our heads. If you have the chance to try it, go for it, it is exceptional!

  • The sunny terrace of the 1928 restaurant: a sunbathing area protected from the wind and Serge, who always welcomes us with a smile!

take a timeless break

Nid de la Loze

For a break in the sun on the heights, go to the Nid de la Loze, a few steps from the Col de la Loze in the direction of Courchevel. You will be irresistibly attracted to this authentic chalet whose triangular shape stands out against the snowy peaks in the background. For a lunch break or a snack in the sun, take advantage of the picnic tables at your disposal. But it is under the roof of this pyramid that the idleness can begin with 2 choices which are offered to you: facing the sun with a view plunging on the track or rather nature break with sight on the Mont Blanc? Whatever your choice, you will have in both cases the possibility of basking on the long chairs XXL size. It's hard to leave!

How to go ?

Access: Chenus Cable Car + 15 min walk. Accessible with a pedestrian pass. Free access, if there is still room!

Mythical high point of Meribel

Panorama of la Saulire

At 2740m of altitude and on this ridge, you are between the valley of Méribel and Courchevel. From there, you can see the main summits of the 3 Vallées, the Vanoise, the Ecrins and the Mont Blanc! To get there, nothing could be simpler: in a gondola you are transported to the summit and can enjoy this exceptional panorama.

What can I do here?

At the top of the Pas du Lac gondola, take the time to understand the surrounding massifs and see which peaks you can observe from this high point by taking advantage of the orientation table at your disposal.

Take the pose on the giant bench in front of this incredible view on Courchevel and the glaciers of Vanoise.

Does La Folie Douce speak to you? Go to the Saulire Express to discover the mythical shows of this famous establishment!

Access: from Méribel-Mottaret via the Pas du Lac cable car or from Méribel Chaudanne via Saulire Express.
