Standing opposite the unique contours of the "Brèche de la Portetta", you could feel as though you were in the Italian Dolomites. From here you can also admire the Italian side of the monolithic Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc). Take in the views and don’t miss your chance to take a few photos!
Take some time to travel up the FREERIDE LAB in les CREUX NOIRS massif and you’ll be greeted by a jaw-dropping vista over Meribel and way, way beyond… Take off your skis and slowly turn a full 360° to contemplate all the iconic alpine peaks from Mont Blanc to the Aiguilles des Ecrins. Feel at one with the rocks, the snow and the sky from this stunning spot.
The plunging lines of the Gébroulaz glacier and the Tueda National Reserve are so utterly absorbing, it’s hard to tear yourself away to ski down! The terrain here is high-altitude, glacial and rocky with an almost austere beauty. Take time to enjoy a moment’s silence and breathe the mountain air while you feel yourself becoming a tiny part of the snow, the rocks and the deep, icy glaciers.
The top of the famous Cime Carron cable car opens out onto a vista that takes in the Belleville Valley with Val Thorens down below. Just in front of you, the three peaks that look quite different from the others are the ‘Aiguilles d'Arves’.
A breathtaking 180° panorama awaits you at the top of this off-the-beaten-track high point above Les Menuires. Sure to feature in your photos is the handsome sculpted wooden ‘bouquetin’ or ibex. (With bonus points if you spot a real one!)
