Get ready for a full day of fun… A morning’s skiing in Méribel and the 3 Valleys, then the afternoon is for après-ski under the sun’s rays, ideal for relaxing and recharging your batteries!
Don’t miss out – we’ll share our tips for making the most of Spring skiing.
Not convinced about a snowy holiday in March and April? Let us tell you a secret: Spring skiing is a real treat! With perfect weather conditions, quiet pistes and plenty of après-ski fun to be had, now’s the time to make the most of the sunny season’s highlights!
In the Spring, as temperatures rise, the snow softens. Some people love it more than others, but no need to worry either way because we can tell you where to find your favorite kind of snow! Whether you love the ‘corn snow’ or you prefer something a little firmer, there’s a place for you, whatever your ski level.
Soft snow is great for beginners, but experts love it too! So head to Méribel Mottaret for the best Spring snow conditions:
Beginner zones: On the Mottaret snow front you will find two magic carpet’ lifts – the Doron and the Ourson. Perfect for learners, they give you access to very gentle slopes to help you master those turns safely.
From Hameau, the Arolles button lift is an ideal spot to perfect your technique whilst enjoying yourself. Once you’ve got control of your skis, head to the Yeti Park piste to add some fun (it’s not just for kids!).
When you feel ready, you can head up higher to gain some altitude and ski around the summits at your own pace.
In Spring, you can find great snow conditions to enjoy. Head up to the high points of the resort: Mont Vallon and Mont de la Challe are excellent destinations to ski or snowboard, with the snow staying in good condition until late Spring. A little tip: hit the slopes early, when the snow is still cold and you will maximise your ski time!
Don’t forget you can still explore the whole 3 Valleys, with amazing runs around Saulire in Courchevel, the Col de Thorens in Val Thorens, and the Pointe de la Masse in Les Menuires. These sectors guarantee superb skiing at high altitude, through to late Spring.
Springtime is also a good opportunity to relax! After a day on the hill, it’s time to chill!
In Spring, nothing is better than lingering over a long, well-deserved lunch after an active morning on the slopes! With pleasant temperatures, warmed by the sun’s rays, Spring is the ideal time to tuck into a leisurely lunch or sip a cool drink on a restaurant terrace.
In Méribel, you’re spoilt for choice:
Plan des Mains, at the foot of the legendary Mont Vallon, is a perfect spot for a gourmet meal or a drink in the sunshine.
Chalet Tonia, at the bottom of Roc de Tougne chairlift, where you’ll be spoilt by simple, seasonal and homemade cuisine, or even a perfect crêpe.
Blanchot, at Meribel’s Altiport, on the Lapin piste, is in a prime sunny spot where you can dine in style.
Find all the resort’s restaurants on the 3 Vallées app.
Fancy trying something new? How about paragliding? From Col de la Loze or Saulire, you can get THE most incredible mountain views by taking to the skies, with a dose of adrenaline as you survey the summits!
If it’s a more chilled way to relax that you’re looking for, head to the Centre Olympique in Méribel Centre. Dedicated to well-being, you can ease those muscles after a day on the slopes!
Nature-lovers, why not try a snow-shoe walk? On foot, the mountain trails offer an entirely different pace and perspective.
In the springtime, whether it’s a wild ride, gentle relaxation or getting back to nature, Méribel is a fantastic destination with plenty of après-ski activities on offer.
In conclusion, Spring is THE season to maximise your mountain holiday. Skiing, relaxation, exploration… Everything you could need for a unique experience. From mornings on the slopes, to lazy lunches, leisurely walks and après-ski, Méribel is THE place to be in the springtime!
